SOCIAL DISTANCING & COVID
What are you doing to ensure social distancing?
Please follow the signage and the directions our staff issue. If you need to queue before entering, our Security team will show you where, and please do follow their instruction and observe any markings denoting safe distances between groups.
On entry, our staff will direct you to the bar area with an available table. We are encouraging everyone to wear masks at all times they are moving around the site. You may, of course, remove them when sat at your tables in the bars, or seats in the theatres. Everybody will need to each, individually, sign in to the NHS Track and Trace for each area. If you do not have the NHS app, then an alternative form will be available to record your details for tracing purposes.
What time should I arrive for the show?
We are advising everyone to arrive at least 30 minutes before their advertised performance start time to ensure that they are able to enter the venue in time, as some shows may not accept latecomers.
What is the venue like?
With safety at the top of our agenda, we’ve built a brand-spanking new, and Covid compliant, performance space that we hope you will enjoy. The Oil Shed is an indoor/outdoor fusion of oil drums and scaffolding that allows the free flow of air throughout the venue.
What if the weather is bad?
The Oil Shed has a covered roof but as we will be based on the beach with exposed walls we recommend to come prepared for all types of weather: bringing your own shade in the afternoon is useful, as is a jumper for the end of evening performances when the evenings start drawing in. Although we anticipate all performances being completed, on rare occasions we may have to stop and re-start the show.
In extreme weather conditions, it may not be possible for us to complete the performance, but we will never cancel a performance before the advertised start time. Tickets are non-refundable in the event of cancellation because of the weather but may be exchanged in accordance with our policy set out in section 55 of our Terms and Conditions.
