The Late Show this week

The world famous (infamous?) Late Show heads to the beach for the best in late-night laughs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the summer. Resident MC Dave Fensome brings you some of the best headliners that stand up has to offer, with top class bills every night, and maybe the odd surprise guest.

Thursday 5th August

Meryl Rourke

Meryl O'Rourke has worked for many years as a TV comedy writer and as a stand-up in her own right. Meryl has written for shows such as Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, through to BBC's Frankie Goes To Russia, Frankie Boyle's Tour of Scotland and four series of Frankie Boyle's New World Order.

Josh Dillon

Brighton-based Josh Dillon is an up-and-coming talent working regularly in London and the South Coast, delivering wry observational comedy with a deadpan style.

Bobby Mair Bobby Mair is a Canadian stand-up comedian based in London, England. Mair has appeared on The Hour, Russell Howard's Good News, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and 8 Out of 10 Cats. Mair won the Laughing Horse New Act Of The Year competition in 2012.

Friday 6th August

William Stone

William Stone is a stand-up, comic actor and writer. Hailing from a nondescript northern working-class market town, William's whimsical one-liners won him a spot in the 2018 BBC New Comedy Award final.

Dinesh Nathan

After winning several gong shows, he won South Coast Comedian Of The Year and was a finalist at the Komedia New Act competition and the coveted Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year competition. Described as a “mix of high-spirited delivery with a sarcastic, self-deprecating viewpoint”, his act was named “one to watch” by Brighton Fringe Review.

Harriet Kemsley

Harriet is an award winning comedian, writer and actress. Recently, she starred in the Viceland reality sitcom Bobby and Harriet: Get Married which she co-created and co-wrote with her husband Bobby Mair, to huge critical acclaim. She also a recurring guest on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and 8 Out of 10 Cats.

Saturday 7th August

Sarah Callaghan

Sarah started performing in 2010 and quickly made her mark becoming a Funny Women finalist. Her unique stage persona has led to an impressive gig history with performances at some of the UK’s most famous venues.

Dinesh Nathan

Dinesh Nathan has been making waves on the South East Comedy scene, winning South Coast Comedian Of The Year in 2019. A very likeable and promising act.

Tom Lucy

Having already established himself on the UK comedy circuit at clubs such as The Comedy Store, The Glee Club and Komedia, Lucy has had a remarkable impact on the scene since his first gig at the tender age of 16.
